You Were Made for More: How to become the Woman God Created You to Be (Without the Pressure to Be Perfect)

There’s a subtle weight so many of us carry—the pressure to be her. The woman who has it all figured out, who always makes the right choices, who wakes up effortlessly glowing and walks through life with the kind of confidence that never wavers.

But let’s be real. None of us feel like that woman all the time. Some of us may feel like we never feel like that woman, ever.

Maybe you feel like you’re too far behind to step into your purpose. Or like you need to fix all your flaws before God can use you. Maybe you’re scared to take up space, to be bold, to fully become the woman He designed you to be.

If that’s you, I need you to hear this: God never called you to be perfect—He called you to be His.

You Were Created With Purpose—Right Now, As You Are

So many of us think we need to become better versions of ourselves before we can walk boldly in faith, start pursuing our dreams, or even feel worthy of the good things in life.

But God isn’t waiting for you to reach some level of perfection before He can use you. He already called you, already chose you, and already has a plan for you.

Think about the women in the Bible— Ruth, Esther, Mary Magdalene. None of them were perfect, yet they all stepped into God’s purpose for them in different ways.

So why do we hold ourselves to impossible standards when even the women God used the most weren’t flawless?

Let me repeat…the women God used the most weren’t flawless.

Perfection Isn’t the Goal—Becoming Who He Created You to Be Is

The world tells us we need to have it all together. That we need to earn our worth. That if we’re not the best, then we’re not enough.

But God’s standard is different. He calls you to trust more than hustle. To obey more than perform. To receive more than prove.

Your job isn’t to be perfect—it’s to be faithful.

  • Faithful in becoming the woman God has called you to be.

  • Faithful in taking small steps toward your purpose, even when you don’t feel ready.

  • Faithful in believing that He is shaping you through the process.

How to Step Into the Woman God Created You to Be

So how do you actually become that woman? The one God designed you to be—without the constant pressure to measure up?

Here’s where you start:

  1. Let Go of the Idea That You’re Not Ready Yet
If you’re waiting until you feel ready or worthy to step into your calling, you’ll be waiting forever. God qualifies the unqualified. If He’s put something on your heart, it’s time to move.

  2. Stop Comparing Your Journey
The fastest way to doubt yourself is to compare your journey to someone else’s. God’s plan for you isn’t going to look like hers—and that’s a good thing. Trust His timing and focus on your path.

  3. Lean Into God’s Strength, Not Your Own
You’re not supposed to do this alone. You weren’t made to carry it all by yourself. Surrender the pressure to perform and let Him work in and through you.

  4. Embrace Growth, Not Perfection
Becoming the woman God created you to be is a journey, not a destination. Give yourself grace. Let yourself be a work in progress. The goal isn’t to have it all figured out—it’s to keep moving forward.

  5. Walk in Boldness, Even When You Feel Small
Confidence isn’t about knowing exactly how things will work out. It’s about knowing who is leading you. When you trust that God is in control, you can move forward even when it feels scary.

God’s Not Asking for Perfection—He’s Asking for You

At the end of the day, the pressure to be perfect isn’t coming from God. It’s coming from the world, from fear, from self-doubt.

But God’s love for you isn’t based on how well you perform, how flawless you appear, or how much you have it all together.

He just wants you. Your whole heart, your trust, your willingness to step into the life He’s prepared for you.

So if you’ve been waiting for permission to step into your calling, to embrace the woman you were made to be, to let go of the pressure to be anything but His—here it is.

You were made for more. You don’t have to be perfect to step into it. You just have to be willing.

Are you ready?

Go step into who you were always born to be…

Praying for you always,

Laura <3 xoxo
